I’ve just added a new search option on link or die. Now if you are searching for something specific you just have to start that search and then move from site to site from the toolbar, I hope that the pictures will make it clear how this type of search works. From now on I will reply to comments faster. I finally activated the wordpres anti spam plugin and I hope that will keep out the hundreds of spam comments that I was getting each day. Thanks a lot for all the comments and I’m open to new suggestions and feedback.

I finally fixed a bug that has affected the softcore search section of the site for quite some time. Most of the videos didn’t start playing due to a very small thing that I’ve changed to make the site render faster.
Index improvement: if you’ve noticed, most of the queries are changed before ro89 returns something. For example if you search for “tit” it returns results that have “tits” in them. This process ads a shitload of complexity to the entire system because the index ends up less fragmented and for queries that use a lot of common words the db works with a lot of data. Our new system tries to avoid altering the form of very common words like “fucked, fucking, fuck etc..” in the hopes that now it can give you better results.
Until now the search engine had a lot of problems with some words, for example “animal” was equal with “anime” :) – all the problems are fixed now and I’m also working to make it even better…. just wait :).
After lurking the /r/jailbait reddit, I decided to move on to /r/sex where I’ve found this article about two popular tube sites pornhub and keezmovies. It seems that the two very popular web properties belong to brazzers – not that surprising if you think that a site like pornhub needs a shitload of money to run. I’m very curious where this will go… there are a lot of tube sites that are pirating content and are backed by adult studios. The free and small sites like mine :) are getting hit very hard because the tubes get all the ad money (and traffic) on the other hand the tubes are starting to affect sales of legal materials which in turn affects the adult studios that hold the tube sites online…
I’ve just updated our adult tube directory with some new sites but I’m running out of ideas so I’ve decided to make a contest.

We are working to add a new api to ro89.com . The REST api will provide some very usefull tools for sites that want to appear faster on our search engine. We will also provide free assistance and integration with your current system.
I hope that this move will allow us to provide a “live search” feature and to finally get rid of all the dead clips. On the other hand we are also working on a very different crawler – one that anyone can run and help us have a better index.
so.. please don’t worry, I do work on different projects but ro89 will evolve to be the best porn search engine and to have all the porn from this world :) .
