Just how many people are on the internets? It turns out that there are a lot, techcrunch.com one of the biggest blogs around, ranked at no2 by technoratti had 2.647.027 unique visitors/month back in january 2008 and was ranked the 2000th biggest sites on the planet by alexa.

There’s no secret that they make a lot of money, for a small square you will have to pay 9600$ and it appears that it was 12.000$ in the past. Ro89 traffic in the same period was about half of techcrunch traffic and it made about 1000$/month from all the banner spots (not just one square). You don’t even have to do the math to see that my traffic is about 10 or 20 times cheaper then on a normal site.
